BIOGRAPHY
Having developed the profession for more than thirty years with permanent training has made possible the scope of expertise in different topics and approaches.
My professional development, after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology of the National University of Córdoba - Argentina, began with parallel training; forensic psychology and the clinical area. As a forensic psychologist for thirty-five years, I acquired expertise in detecting pathologies and studying the personality of victims and perpetrators of different crimes, such as homicides, robbery or sexual abuse. I obtained the title of Specialist in Legal Psychology and ownership of a professorship in the Specialty Course in Legal Psychology at the National University of Córdoba. I teach postgraduate courses in Forensic Psychology and Forensic Sciences at national and international universities from 2003 to the present. Co-authored with other colleagues, I wrote several books. I provide advice to judges and prosecutors when they request it.
In the clinical area, I began my four-year postgraduate training in Gestalt therapy, realizing that human beings need a holistic and integrative approach, since the fundamental conception of my therapeutic approach is that we function as an absolute whole. Then I conceived the need to delve into the mechanism and neuropsychological foundation of the emotions and behaviors that guide people. Thus, I obtained a Master's degree in Neuropsychology at the National University of Córdoba. Later, I completed training in cognitive behavioral therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (third wave) and also in Mindfulness. My interest in alleviating the traumatic experiences and disturbing experiences of my patients led me to delve into the universe of psychic trauma. Thus, I trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a technique that processes past and recent traumatic events quickly and effectively. Traumatic stress and chronic stress are phenomena that are interrelated in different ways. From this conception I completed postgraduate training in Psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology and also in Epigenetics; essential scientific disciplines in the dynamic movement of trauma and stress. These trainings allowed me to complete the panorama of traumatic phenomena and chronic stress, areas in which I have specialized in the last twenty years. From this topic I offer my colleagues training through international postgraduate courses.
I do not leave spirituality aside, taking into account that we are beings with beliefs and feelings that go beyond the concrete and everyday, which are related to the universal or religious connection depending on each person.
Currently I care for my patients virtually and in person in individual therapy. I also lead group Stress Management workshops for people who are overwhelmed by an overwhelming lifestyle, with permanent social and work pressures. It is about providing tools that allow regulating the neurohormones responsible for increasing stress, acquiring self-knowledge and relaxation, and enabling decision-making from the feeling of being emotionally balanced.
My clinical approach to professional performance is holistic and integrative. Human beings function as a whole, where each area (emotion, body, brain, behavior, cognition, spirituality) manifests simultaneously in spontaneous expression. It is about deeply contacting all these aspects, harmonizing the relationship between all of them and achieving self-knowledge to optimize a life directed towards health, inner peace and happiness.
